Dylan Vogel is a Pacific Northwest native, artist/photographer and Bachelor of Fine Art candidate at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. Vogel’s photographic works largely deal with depicting empty spaces devoid of human presence. It is Vogel’s opinion that these absent areas, real or perceived communicate more about people than a literal portrait.
Vogel’s current Bachelor of Fine Art thesis work explores the nature of urban sprawl, seeking to utilize the imaginative techniques of architectural sketching combined with photographic documentation and collage to simulate perpetual constructed growth.
